STAND UP in The Heights ($10 Advance/$15 at the Door)

  • Betty Jayne Brimmer Center for the Performing Arts 1327 East Kelly Avenue Peoria Heights, IL, 61616 United States (map)

Tickets: $10 in advance; $15 at the door

Eddie-P (aka the KungFool Comic) will be hosting the fourth installment of STAND UP in the Heights this month! Come on in to the first comedy event in 2020 at the Betty Jayne Brimmer Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, January 24 at 7pm. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door, with doors opening at 6:30.

Starting off the January 24th line-up is our host, Eddy-P, The KungFoolComic. He's performed on and off for the past 20+ years from backyards to bars to nightclubs to comedy halls and arenas all across the country. He has also performed in 30 out of the 50 states and has had multiple radio and TV interviews. He received his stage name because not only does he do stand-up comedy, but he's also a Master level instructor of Hung-gar Kung-fu. So he combined the two things he loves to do and the 'KungFoolComic' was born.

The evening kicks off with Trey Eilers, a comic from the middle of no where. Fairly clean but with a bit of an edge; his sense of humor appeals to a wide range of audiences.  With a focus on twists and turns, he's got some punchlines you'll never see coming.

Next up is Scotty Harris, who's often described as a cerebral comic. His material is short, clever, and a little dark. While most of his jokes are technically clean, you probably don't want your ten year old repeating them at school tomorrow.

Last but definitely not least, we have our beloved Greg Batton! Greg’s a game player, story teller and a distracted Dad.  Join him on his journey through life’s “stuff:" kids, marriage and today’s technology!

The show kicks off at 7pm and wraps up around 9pm, but stick around for drinks with the comics until 10!

NOTE: this event is 21+. There could possibly be adult language and/or themes.
